Westlink Library
Project:
The building was originally designed by Hanney & Sanders, Architects in Wichita. The design was influenced by the neighboring St. Francis of Assisi Church (also designed by Hanney & Sanders). A central skylight brings a soft natural light into the center of the library space. The design includes a children’s area, public meeting room, and a partial basement. The administration area is highlighted with a custom designed circulation desk, which is a trademark of Hanney library designs. Twenty years later the City of Wichita hired Hanney & Associates to re-roof the building, re-carpet the space, and modify the parking and site drainage.
Project Size:
4,400 Sq. Ft.
